Group Name:

SAYGIDEGER LAB

Leader:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin SAYGIDEĞER

Keywords:
Translational Pulmonology, Biomarker Discovery,  Targeted therapy, Cancer biology

Description:
Our Mission is to advance molecular diagnostics and precision medicine in lung cancer and chronic lung diseases through innovative research. We aim to discover efficient biomarkers and novel therapeutic targets by investigating metal-based molecules, natural products, and exosomal non-coding RNAs. Through proteomic approaches and molecular docking, we strive to bridge laboratory discoveries with clinical applications for improved patient diagnosis and treatment via interdisciplinary and international collaborations.

Opportunities:
We have positions for Master’s and PhD students.

Group Name:
YILMAZ LAB

Leader:
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bertan YILMAZ

Keywords:
Cancer Biology,  Reproductive Health, Regeneration

Description:
Our research mission is to investigate molecular and genetic mechanisms at the cellular, tissue, and organismal levels through an integrated approach, with the aim of developing measurable biomarkers and implementable experimental protocols for clinically relevant challenges in reproductive health, cancer biology, and biomaterial-supported regenerative applications. In this context, my work integrates qPCR-based gene expression analyses, molecular mechanistic studies, in vitro cell culture systems, and in vivo experimental models to generate mechanistic insights and translational outputs addressing clinically oriented research questions.

Opportunities:
We have positions for Master’s and PhD students.

Leader:
Prof. Dr. Gülay SEZGİN

Keywords:
Stem cell transplantation, GvHD, Childhood cancer, neuroblastoma, obliterative bronchiolitis

Description:
Sezgin Lab is dedicated to advancing safer and more effective stem cell transplantation for children with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders. Led by a pediatric oncologist and transplant physician, the lab focuses on understanding transplant complications, immune recovery, and treatment-related toxicities. By integrating clinical care with translational research, our goal is to translate discoveries at the bedside into improved survival and quality of life for pediatric patients.

Opportunities:
We have positions for master’s and PhD students

Group Name:
YAKTUBAY DONDAS LAB

Leader:
Prof. Dr. Naciye YAKTUBAY DÖNDAŞ

Keywords:
Pharmacology, drug discovery

Description:

Our mission is to develop innovative drug R&D strategies aligned with translational medicine and biotechnology by integrating a multidisciplinary approach spanning from medical and molecular pharmacology to behavioral pharmacology, immunopharmacology, and pharmacogenetics, combined with genomic, proteomic, and targeting technologies. We aim to develop innovative approaches for discovering new therapeutic drugs that are targeted and have fewer side effects, using nanocarrier systems (such as exosomes), recombinant DNA technologies and holistic treatment approaches. For this purpose, we try to develop multidisciplinary national and international R&D projects with pharmaceutical industry participation.

Opportunities:

We have positions for Master’s and PhD students.
